Plus-size women aren’t given nearly as much love as they should get in the fashion industry, and by the media generally. And within the plus-size industry, the amount of black models represented is even tinier! But luckily, we have some revolutionary chocolate-hued hotties who are changing that and showing that big is beautiful (and by big, we mean actually bigger than a size 8). Here’s to embracing ourselves, no matter what shape or size, and becoming more beautiful by increasing our self-esteem.

1. Marquita Pring
This New Yorker landed a gig being the face of a Levi’s campaign. The size 14 hottie modeled Jean Paul Gaultier in Paris, in 2010 (not usually a plus size line), and was also featured on Vogue Italia’s site. She’s another Lane Byrant babe and is set on being a positive role model to young girls. Her style code is “sexy, classic, relaxed”, and it’s sure working for her, because she’s radiant!

2. Philomena Kwao
This classy lady became famous unintentionally – her friend secretly entered her in a nationwide modeling competition in the UK, and she won! She walked in a runway show for Isabel Toledo, and became the face of the brand Torrid. She’s also philanthropic – use founded The Lily Project, a mentorship program that promotes young women people able to speak out about the issues that affect them.

This is one of the most flawless women ever. And when we found out she was the daughter of the famous supermodel Beverly Johnson, we totally got it. She’s also married to former footballer David Patterson, and has posed naked for Glamour before!

4. Sabina Karlsson
Half African American, half Swedish, this 6 foot tall biracial babe got runner-up in Sweden’s Next Top Model, and poked 12 shows her first NYFW. She’s walked for Jean-Paul Gaultier, Betsey Johnson, and more. Her unique freckles, red hair and gap tooth make her even more unbelievable.

6. Liris Crosse
This size-18 stunner landed a role in Jay-Z’s music video, and is now compared to her idol Naomi Campbell because of her incomparable beauty. 5 Most Memorable Celebrity Wardrobe Malfunctions

We glamorize celebs so much these days. We imagine them to be these incredible, flawless beings that live perfect lives where nothing can go wrong. We put them up on a pedestal and glorify them. The reality, however, is that they’re just human, same as the rest of us. They’re not perfect and neither are their lives. Sure, they look great in movies, on TV, on red carpets, but things go wrong for them too. And in those rare moments we get to realize that they’re just as normal as we are, and they have silly things happen to them all the time.
Here’s a selection of the most memorable celebrity wardrobe malfunctions that will make you cringe because of how embarrassing it must’ve been at that moment for the celebs. And how much they probably wished to be just a regular no-one at that moment, so that the whole world wouldn’t have to see them fail.

Most Shocking Red Carpet Outfits

Micaela Schäfer at the Men in Black premiere
Let’s Start with this “dress” Micaela Schäfer wore to the 2012 Men in Black Premiere. It’s really difficult to call this a dress, since it’s barely there. As you can see this dress leaves nothing to imagination. Honestly, it looks like it’s made of old cassette tapes and a belt. However, if you google Micaela Schäfer, you’ll realise that she’s no stranger to just painting her outfits on, so this is actually one of her modest outfits.

Rihanna at the CFDA Fashion Awards
Rihanna is no stranger to showing off her figure and we love her for that. She’s got a great body and it should be seen. But this was one of those times a lot of us thought she went a bit too far. At the CFDA fashion awards in 2014 Rihanna was pretty much naked. The pink sparkly dress was completely see through. The only thing she had to cover up the strategic bits was her fluffy pink boa, but it didn’t really help.

Elizabeth Hurley at the Funeral Premiere
At this point in time we wouldn’t even look twice at this dress. Yes, it shows a lot of cleavage and yes, it has cutouts on the sides. These days it’s not something we’d consider shocking. We see celebs show up to events almost naked. But back in 1994 this dress created a lot of controversy and was discussed for days on end, for being so provocative and shocking. This little throwback just goes to show that it was much either to shock people with your outfits in 1994.

Jennifer Lopez at the Grammy’s
Remember that time Jennifer Lopez showed up for Grammy’s wearing essentially beachwear? Wasn’t that fun? It was a bold move for sure. The dress, if we can call it that, showed off not only JLo’s cleavage, but also her midriff in one great swoop. It looked like Jennifer might’ve been lounging next to her pool and suddenly remembered that she’s late for Grammy’s and decided ‘to hell with it, I’m fabulous, I’ll just wear this’.

Rose McGowan at the VMAs
1998 was a weird time for everyone. Marilyn Manson seems strangely colorful for his usual dark self and Rose McGowan is basically naked on the red carpet. What was she thinking?
According to Rose, she thought it would be funny. Also, she didn’t expect for the dress to be that revealing. She wanted something that would be provocative in the back, something that would cause a stir, but she received the dress only the night before the VMA’s and was surprised at how revealing it was in the front. Nevertheless, she decided to be a good sport and wear the dress. She later described that decision as “punk AF”.

Most Iconic Celebrity Couples Red Carpet Moments

As much as we like some celebs and wish we could meet them, date them or marry them (or is that just me?) occasionally we’ve got to admit that some celebrity couples are just perfect for each other. Not all of them might stay together forever, but while it lasts, they really seem to compliment each other and the moment they step out onto the red carpet together everything else just blends into the background and they shine. These couples are usually responsible for some pretty interesting red carpet moments, that sometimes even outlive the relationship itself. Today we’re going to recount 11 of iconic celebrity couples red carpet moments.

1. That unforgettable moment when Rose McGowan and Marilyn Manson shocked the public at the VMAs 1998 in their outrageous outfits.

Mismatched ?

Source: Best Health Magazine, Summer 2008
You and your partner can disagree about how frequently to make mortgage payments or get in a round of golf, and it likely won’t negatively affect your relationship. But disagree about how often to have sex and you could be headed for trouble.
What do you do if you have mismatched libidos? First, understand what exactly is involved, says Robin Milhausen, a sex researcher at the University of Guelph. “Sex drive is a hormonal, physiologically based urge that men and women have to varying degrees. I think it’s more helpful to think about ‘sexual desire’ instead, which incorporates the emotional and psychological components.”
Sexual interest is affected by many factors: hormonal changes due to pregnancy or menopause, medication such as some antidepressants or blood pressure pills, fatiguestress and, of course, relationship issues. But there are broader factors. “My research found about 115 factors, including setting and mood, but also what you learned about sex in school, attitudes your parents had, and how open your religious, cultural or ethnic background has been to you expressing yourself sexually,” says Milhausen.
Libido differences can create relationship havoc, with one person feeling rejected and the other feeling pressured. “It’s what I call the ‘shame-blame-flame’ cycle,” says Trina E. Read, a Calgary sexologist and author of the upcoming book Till Sex Do Us Part. “The person who wants to have sex feels unwanted and says something that makes the other person feel guilty or shamed. Then the shamed person blames the other: ‘Well, if you did such-and-such, maybe I’d want to have sex.’ And then comes the ‘flame’: anger, resentment and an argument.”
Separating fact from emotion is key. “If your partner is less interested in sex, usually it’s not a personal rejection,” notes Milhausen. And, advises Read, empathize as best you can. “Too often there’s a power struggle in which the partner who doesn’t want sex as often is seen as in control, and the other becomes the victim. That’s a negative emotional pattern to get into.”
A solution can be found in one of Milhausen’s favourite books, The Great American Sex Diet by Laura Corn: Partners share responsibility for planning regular sexual encounters. “The man is happy because it’s more sex than he was getting previously, and the woman is thrilled because her partner is taking initiative in a romantic sensual experience,” says Milhausen. “Plus, it disrupts routine, which can re-energize partners.”
The bottom line? Realize that sexual desire is complex. “How often in a relationship do both partners crave the exact same food?” asks Milhausen. “So why do we assume sex drives are going to be in synch at all times? We should think of discrepancies as the norm. When you don’t have such high expectations for sex drives to always match, both partners feel better.”

THE KEY to live an other first time sex

Why You Should Try Tantra Sex Tonight

Tantra is a Sanskrit word that means ‘woven together.’ Hindu and Buddhist meditation practitioners use sexual union as a metaphor for weaving together the physical and the spiritual: weaving man to woman, and humanity to the divine. The purpose is to become one with God. The Western form of this sacred sexuality called Tantra teaches slow, non-orgasmic sexual intercourse.
Couples in my practice who have tried tantric sex find that they cultivate great sensual pleasure and also a sense of ‘dissolving into each other’ that is profound and loving. The purpose is to become enlightened, not to win an Olympic medal for carnal gymnastics.

Practice Makes Perfect

Begin by facing each other and gazing into each other’s eyes with your clothes on. Focus on one of your partner’s eyes; this keeps you intimately exposed. (Some people look back and forth between the two eyes to reduce the tension, but that’s cheating!) Eyes are windows to the soul, so you are gazing into his soul, he into yours.
Next, synchronize your breathing: Breathe in together, exhale together. Then move into breath exchange: You inhale when he exhales, then exhale when he inhales, as though you’re breathing each other in. Practice this for at least 10 minutes.

Tantric Sex For Beginners

To take this into sexual Tantra, try the same process but with clothes off. Sit on his lap, facing him, and wrap your legs around his waist. Do the breath exchange, but move into kissing and caressing. In time, begin slow intercourse, but continue caressing and kissing. Keep eye contact.
Here is where things get interesting; as you become more proficient, you can develop the ability for prolonged orgasm. For both women and men, this is a variation on multiple orgasms; you remain at the peak of ecstatic pleasure without climaxing. There are all the feelings of a typical orgasm, but it lasts for many minutes (or even hours), without a traditional orgasm. This leads to profound sexual and emotional merging.

The Importance Of Reconnecting

In our modern over-scheduled lives, we rarely stop and intently focus on our partner. Practicing tantric sex can enhance your relationship and your sexual pleasure in several ways. Firstly, emphasizing breath and connection creates a deep level of intimate contact. This alone can open your heart to feeling closer, more loving and more forgiving.
Secondly, the slow pace of tantric lovemaking will allow you to explore the sensual range of your bodies and minds. Making love for an hour or more is like turning a fast-food burrito into an epicurean feast. Both will satisfy your hunger, but the feast brings you more pleasure, delight and profound satisfaction.
Lastly, while you may balk at the idea of avoiding climaxing, these practices can help you both develop sexual ecstasy and connectedness far beyond that of a typical orgasm.
